COSMA Accreditation
The Master of Science in Management and Leadership in Sport Business Concentration at East Stroudsburg University has received specialized accreditation through the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) located in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.
ESU is the only university in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or New York with an accredited graduate sport management program.

Student Clubs and Honor Society
Sport Management Club
The Sport Management Club was created to focus on the interests of the students wishing to pursue a career in the sports industry. With the ever-changing atmosphere of the sport industry, the club provides an opportunity to network and learn more about the work environment. Through the club, there are many opportunities to network with professionals in the field, as well as with the students in your classes.
SMGT Club gives the opportunity to gain skills in areas such as communication, organizing events, leading committees, and working in teams in a realistic setting. Some of the experiences include the Perryman Keglovits All star Basketball Game, Pocono Raceway College Tour Competition, and field trips to sport venues to meet with sport organization executives.
Chi Sigma Mu Student Honor Society
COSMA (Commission on Sport Management Accreditation) member programs can nominate students for induction into the Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society. Criteria for a successful nomination include:
- Students must be nominated by a faculty member in a program that is a member of COSMA.
- Bachelor’s students must have earned at least 60 credit hours toward their degree and have a 3.4 GPA
- Master’s students must have earned at least 18 credit hours toward their degree and have a 3.6 GPA
ESU Sport Management programs have inducted 54 undergraduate and 31 graduate students to the CSM Honor Society since 2018.

Sports Industry Internships
